Builder Jason Vander Vorste has again this year selected Ronda Blalock and Angie Hines from Swann’s Furniture to create the interior of the How-to House. That’s because Jason knows that Swann’s mission is to enrich the lives of the people they touch through comfortable home furnishings of exceptional value. That’s why Swann’s has been serving East Texas families since 1895.

In the master bedroom, Ronda Blalock and Angie Hines have placed the Carmel Highlands collection by Bernhardt. Rich in texture and luxurious in design, this robustly scaled collection is dramatic and inviting; elegant yet relaxing. Influenced by materials and textures of nature, Carmel Highlands brings the outdoors inside for that is rustic yet sumptuous and polished.

In the family room (photo 2), Ronda and Angie chose furniture from Century Leather. In addition to its style, this furniture will provide a long life and lasting beauty. Also in the family room, notice the cocktail table made from Walnut solids and veneers in a heavier scale to compliment the larger upholstery furniture. This table can also be used in transitional settings.

In the game room, Ronda and Angie have chosen a look that is casual and comfortable. It is the perfect combination of rustic decor and warm simplicity, with natural distressed finishes and a variety of paint options.

In the breakfast area, you’ll find a breakfast table and chairs that are transitional in style that may also be used in some traditional settings. The table features a decorative inlaid veneer accent for additional sophistication and appeal.
