As long as it has a nice coat of paint, most homeowners don’t think about their garage doors very often. And that’s fine, provided that your garage door is well considered when it’s first installed.
For the 11th Annual Al Carrell How-to House, builder Jason Vander Vorste again selected garage doors from Overhead Door Company of Tyler. And the reason is very simple — uncompromising quality and service.
The process of enclosing the garage starts with the finest quality doors. These are Overhead Door 126 Series insulated flush wood doors. Put simply, these doors are both beautiful and tough. Beautiful because they provide the attractive appearance of a wood “carriage house” door. Tough because their construction is such that they will endure over the years while offering superb energy efficiency.
The 126 Series doors feature a rough-sawn wood texture that provides an attractive, rustic appearance. The interior and exterior surfaces of the doors are top quality 1/8” thick hardboard panels. These panels are pressure bonded to a 1-1/16” thick core of CFC and HCFC-free polystyrene insulation resulting in an economical door with an R-Value of 4.60.
The doors are opened and closed using Overhead Door’s top-of-the-line Legacy garage door opener systems. The Legacy comes with a ½ horsepower motor that is covered with a lifetime limited warranty.
A wireless keypad and Code Dodger™ technology work together to keep the garage secure. That’s because the special algorithms in the Legacy’s processor make it virtually impossible for any would-be thief to intercept the door openers’ codes.
And that’s why the eventual owners of the Al Carrell How-to House will never have to really think about the garage doors. They will know that Overhead Door Co. has done all of the thinking in advance.
