While it is true that the interior of the Al Carrell How-to House is magnificent, it is also true that the eventual owners of the house will spend a great deal of time outdoors.

And making the outside of the How-to House look its best is made easier by having the right equipment.

Toward that end, we invited Cutters Equipment to provide the equipment that is on display in the garage. Cutters Equipment is a cutting edge outdoor power equipment company that offers both commercial and residential equipment designed to make life easier. Owner Tim Lanthrum has over 21 years experience in the landscape industry and carries certifications with the Texas Consulting Arborist Association and the Texas Turf Grass Association. General manager Kevin Lewis has over 15 years of power equipment experience right here in Tyler.

When you ask Cutters Equipment, the answer you’ll hear is, “Yes we can.”

On display in the Al Carrell How-to House is an Ex Mark Quest Residential ZTR Mower with a 22 h.p. Briggs & Stratton engine. It’s a zero turn radius mower with a 48-inch 10-gauge fabricated cutting deck.

For tighter spaces, Cutters has also provided a Honda HRX 21-inch walk-behind mower. It bags, mulches or control mulches. It has a hydrostatic drive with blade-break clutch and is powered by a Honda engine.

For the finishing touches, Cutters has provided a Shindaiwa T222 home string trimmer and a Shindaiwa EB240S hand-held leaf blower.

For those jobs far from the outlet or if commercial power fails, the How-to House is also equipped with a Honda EU 2000 self-contained portable generator that features ultra quiet operation.
