Again this year, the Al Carrell How-to House features plumbing and plumbing fixtures from Coburn Supply Co. of Tyler. As they have in previous editions of the How-to House, they have provided fixtures that not only look beautiful, but provide generations of reliable service.

For this edition of the How-to House, MTI provides a Harmony air bath. The air bath provides a light, full-body massage delivered by millions of relaxing air bubbles from 20 strategically placed air jets on the bottom of the bathing well. Air tubes are easier to maintain than a traditional whirlpool and they allow the use of oils and other bath products. The tub also features MTI’s Radiance heat system.

The master bath features the total eclipse custom shower by Brizo. The rain head, two hand showers and body sprays each have separate volume controls. With the TempAssure thermostatic control, temperature can be set and maintained much like a household thermostat. Bella Villa Roman tub and lavatory faucets by Fusion Hardware add Mediterranean warmth.

Delta faucets in aged pewter grace the secondary baths. Rooted in arts and crafts design, the Lockwood Bath Collection presents a modern twist on the traditional teapot style.

TOTO combines high performance, low consumption with a clean, streamlined style in the Ultramax toilet. The G-Max flushing system is the most powerful and most imitated flushing system in the world.

The two powder rooms showcase Brizo wall mount faucets while beautiful vessels of Purple Dream onyx and Royal Green marble by Adadio Sinks adorn the countertops.

In the kitchen two very dramatic Elkay sinks offer style and function. Both sinks are in Elkay’s new Antique Hammered Copper finish. The main sink is a double bowl apron front. The Saxony by Delta features a pull-out sprayer and soap dispenser in Venetian Bronze. The Mystic by Elkay that flows through the middle of the island is an artful touch that is perfect for entertaining. The Rohl pot filler is convenient and stylish. The butler pantry features a round Elkay sink with a flat bottom in antique hammered copper.

The Universal laundry sink from MTI features no jets, a washboard front and soap recess to ensure style and function. The outdoor kitchen offers durability and style with an Elkay drop-in stainless steel sink and single control stainless faucet by Delta.

The two Premier Power-Vent Gas water heaters from State are the new choice for high-demand homes with 90 percent thermal efficiency. These top of the line water heaters deliver 127 gallons in the first hour and 92 gallons thereafter.
